ADOPTED HCP-Peper, 3 month old male, collie cross

This sweet and special young man is only three months old and yet he has already had to struggle to survive. He story is sadly a very familiar one. His mother lived with a family who did not spay her and allowed her to be around male dogs. When they found out she was expecting pups they waited until they were born and then threw their mother and them onto the streets, abandoning them where they could not find their way home. And so, Pepers' life more or less started with hardship and confusion.
On the streets there is very little shelter and even less food. His mother will have scavenged for as much to eat as possible, but if she couldn't get enough her milk would not have been nourishing enough .. and at these times Peper would have gone very hungry himself. It is also a very frightening place to grow up. As there is so little food the bigger dogs will attack the more submissive smaller dogs and even the pups so Peper would have seen, and heard a lot of fighting and a lot of the sounds of dogs in pain, and even dying.
However, Peper, his mother and his siblings were more fortunate than many in that where they were abandoned was fairly close to a lovely lady who tries to help as many dogs as possible in her area. She could not keep them in her home but has them in her yard where they are safe, have shelter and have the food and water they deserve. However this is not an ideal situation for Peper and he desperately needs a forever home where he can spend time with a family, have all the home comforts and feel secure and safe for the rest of his life.
Peper is like nearly all puppies, his life revolves around food, sleep and play .. with pay of course being the most important to him ! He is fine with people .. as long as they are willing to fuss, cuddle and play with him. And this is how he is with other dogs as well. He loves everything with a heartbeat and he now needs a special family to love him back.
Peper is currently going through all his vaccinations and will be ready to travel at the beginning of August. If adopted by then he will not be neutered prior to travel due to his age.
