ADOPTED-MAX 10 month old male terrier cross, possibly lab/terrier cross. Death Row

Max: this sweet boy has found himself in the pound, but little does he know that unless adopted or fostered, this is where he will spend the rest of his days, days that are numbered!!

This little fella is on death row, simply because he has no place to go. He would love a home, his very own home where he is loved and wanted. He adores people and gets on really well with the other dogs in the pound and they are allowed out for a walk with volunteers and the local children once a week. This is the only thing they have to look forward too. Please help Max by either sponsoring him, which will take away his death sentance and get him into foster, foster Max or offer him a loving home.

DOLLY

Friday, 8 March 2013

ADOPTED in UK Carlisle-DOLLY :Dachshund cross 3 month old female needing a forever home

Dolly was approximately 1 month old when found on the streets, in a cardboard box along with her brother. Left by the side of a very busy road, used regularly by truckers. Cold and hungry just babies they did not even have all their teeth. But this is Croatia, just like the main country we help animals in Romania, Croatia has similar abusive mentality when it comes to the defenseless strays.

Fortunately a volunteer from a local shelter found them and took them home. The volunteer already has another 7 dogs at home, a very small home and cats aswell.

She keeps them in a room seperate from the other dogs as they are ganging up on the pups. Dolly is sharing her room with her brother and a cat, who seems to get along with very well.

Dolly needs a home she can call her own. a home where she will be loved and feel safe. with Dolly being so young she will adapt to family life pretty quickly and has no issues with people or cats.
After her poor start in life she deserves a better chance.

SIENNA

Sunday, 9 June 2013

ADOPTED-Sienna - 4 month old female. Shepherd mixed breed

Sienna's story is very sadly a common one for pups in Croatia. Her mother is owned by a family but they do not spay their females and pups are just seen as problems that can be got rid of as easily as throwing them on the street at a month old and leaving them to fend for themselves. The next time the female has pups they do the same thing.

So, at 1 month old Sienna and her 4 siblings were separated from their mother, taking from the only home they knew and thrown on the street. The owners didn't care if they lived or died, as to them these pups are not their problem. Imagine how alone, scared, confused and hungry these little ones were. We can only imagine the heart break they went through at that time, with no food or shelter.

The five pups were found by someone who gave them food and water and a small box for shelter but could not take them home. Luckily after a few days a local rescue group heard about them and one of their team went to get Sienna and her siblings and took them to safety.

When they were rescued they were all very weak and hungry and it is testament to the love and care that the rescuer gave them, and their own strength of character that all five survived. Slowly they became stronger and the brightness returned to their eyes.

Her three brothers have found forever homes but Sienna and her sister remain. They now need someone to offer them the home they so deserve. They are both typical puppies full of mischief and fun, loving play and cuddles. They just adore attention and despite all they have been through they love being around their human friends.
They are growing in strength and in personality but need to be somewhere they can call 'home' forever, where they can meet their full potential as the wonderful companions they will become.

FRAM

Sunday, 5 May 2013

ADOPTED - Fram - 3 month old Male Shepherd Cross Puppy, crammed into a bucket when 2 weeks of age and left to die. Now looking for his forever home.

This is Fram, the most gorgeous sweet 3 month old male shepherd mix you could ever wish to meet. Looking at his photo above you would never guess the most vile start he and his siblings had.

This is exactly how Fram and her siblings were found, 7 tiny puppies, eyes still closed crammed into a filthy bucket and left at the bottom of a block of flats with sub zero temperatures outside.

It was only their feeble cries that alerted people to them, many would have seen them, many would have have walked past knowing within hours these poor babies would have either died from the cold or starvation, most likely both. But this is the way things are in Romania, one of the most animal abusive countries in Eastern Europe where strays are deemed vermin to do with what humans wish.

Thankfully a person who did care stopped by them and did the only thing she was able. She had no room herself in their her home and to take them in would risk the local city hall evicting her and her children to the streets. So she took this photo and sent it to a friend, a friend who is part of our rescuers network.
She waited until they arrived, guarding them as she knew as we do, in Romania pups like this if they did not die from the environment would more than likely become targets of abuse and cruelty by local residents, even local children. The rescuer arrived and collected these tiny pups who were no more than 2 weeks of age, eyes still closed and in desperate need of heat and food.

Then begun the hard job of getting life back into the tiny bodies which would mean every 3 hours for the next few weeks they would have to be bottled fed.

It really is a miracle they all survived, but they did. As each day past each one became stronger and stronger. When they were old enough they were taken for a vet check and vaccinated etc.

Fram was always the leader of this tiny pack, the first to drink from the bottle, the first to venture outside of the basket they all stayed in,the first to take his first steps, the first to start to explore his foster home.  He has the fluffiest fur out them all and is very quick to learn new things.

His is a very inquisitive puppy, as he has grown so has his confidence. he is a very sociable pup enjoying the company of others dogs and even cats, but most of all enjoying the kindness and fuss from his foster family.

He truly is in desperate need of a loving home, somewhere he will always be safe and can watch over his family as he now watches over his tiny siblings.

NICK

Wednesday, 10 July 2013

Adopted - NICK 4 month old male pup mixed breed needing a forever home.

Nick was found dumped with the garbage, often the way in Romania when a pup or dog is not wanted, just thrown away like a scrap of paper. If he had not been found his chances of survival were virtually nil. Too young to look after himself and find food, too young and small to fight off other dogs searching for food and he most certainly would have probably ended up being ran over and killed.

Nick is now safe in a shelter but still needing that forever home. He loves to play with his other puppy companions, enjoys human company too. He loves his fusses and cuddles and his a happy little boy and knows how to use those puppy dog eyes !.

He is adorable, how could any one resist that little face. He desperatelyy needs a loving home where he can grow and be loved. He is young enough to adopt to a home life and to be trained and learn new things, he would make a welcome family addition.

GILL

Wednesday, 10 July 2013

Adopted -GILL:Speranta GILL 4 month old male mixed breed needing a forever home.

Gill another case of just being thrown out with the rubbish, no longer wanted so just discarded like a piece of scrap paper, it is often the way in Romania. Too young to fend for himself, to search for food and certainly not big enough or strong enough to fend off other dogs in the search for food. His chances of survival were virtually nil, if the other dogs didn't get him, cruel humans or the traffic would.

This delightful little boy is now in a safe shelter though he would rather be in a loving home.
Gill loves to play with the other puppies sharing his kennel, he loves human company and his fusses and cuddles. He is typical pup for his age, doing what he should be doing and getting into mischief !

Gill just needs his very own loving home, a home where he will be loved, learn and grow into a handsome young man. He will enjoy learning new things and adapt very easily to a new home and in return he has oodles of love to give.

ALAN

Wednesday, 10 July 2013

ADOPTED-ALAN 4 month old male shepherd mix needing a forever home.

This handsome young man was found on the streets of Romania when just 6 weeks old. His chances of survival were virtually nil, far too young to fend for himself and look for food, no chance of defending himself against the dangers of the streets, traffic, older wiser street dogs and the humans, there  are some very cruel humans who think nothing of beating dogs to death, poisoning them or even torturing them just for the hell of it. Alan was also a good target for the bigger starving dogs on the streets, these dogs will literally eat their own they are that hungary. The weak, ill and younger one do not stand a chance.

Thank fully Alan is now safe, he was in foster for a while but the now he now in an adoption center looking for his forever home.

Alan is a sociable little boy, gets along with dogs and children of all ages. Loves to be fussed and cuddle and a very friendly playful young man indeed. He just desperately wants a home he can call his own, where he can give all the love he has to a family that he can call his own. Please give this boy a chance and offer him a loving home.

Ania abandoned on the streets of Romania when just 6 weeks old. No chance of survival as she was far to young to fend for herself, she would not have been able to fight of older, bigger dogs in the search for food. she stood no chance of defending herself against cruel humans that think nothing of beating dogs to death or beating them just for the fun of it. Then there was the busy traffic, she would have with out a doubt been killed at some point on the busy roads.

Ania was in foster care for a while but is now in an adoption center being care for. She is a very friendly sociable girl. Adores human company, gets along with children and other dogs and is a bundle of joy to be around.

ANDORRA

Tuesday, 23 July 2013

ADOPTED-ANDORRA aprrox 3 and half months old female lab type cross needing a forever home. In foster in UK

This little was had a very near escape, a lady stopped her car just in time other wise she would have hit her. Andorra ran out infront of the car, probably looking for food or running away from someone or the other dogs that live on the streets of Croatia.

She was in a terrible state when found, suffering from starvation, dehydration and  demodex. The poor little thing was barely recogniseable as a little puppy.

Andorra is now in a safe place and doing very well, she is gaining weight, her demodex has cleared up and now this little girl is looking for her forever home. A home away from the dangers of the streets, a home where she can grow and develope, where she can learn new things and to be loved and learn what real love feels like..
She is a happy healthy little girl that just needs that home now. Andora loves her cuddles and fusses, loves to play with the other dogs and puppies in her care and just wants to be around every one.

APOLLO

Sunday, 28 July 2013

ADOPTED-APOLLO mixed breed, possible terrier in there some where, 6 to 7 months old male. Needing a forever home.

This little boy was sadly no longer wanted by his owners husband, he had decided he no longer wanted Apollo so he had to go. fortunately he went into one of the very over crowded foster homes  rather than see him in a public shelter or on the streets. The streets and shelters is a very harsh life indeed for these young dogs.Very little food to go round, very little human contact and living in constant fear from the the older and bigger dogs. fights break out over space and food in the shelters and the weaker ones in turn risk being torn to shreds.

Apollo is a lovely friendly boy, living with children, other dogs, chickens and cats. He loves to be in the car and travels very well. He is a playful adorable little boy, he just loves every one. He would fit in well into any family home, he just wants that family home, a home he can call his own.

Apollo has oodles of love and affection to give. He will thrive in a loving home, please offer this little boy that forever loving home.
