FLOKY

ADOPTED - FLOKY:APO FLOKY approx 15 months old male small size Daschound/terrier mix needing a forever home

Most of the dogs in Romania and surrounding areas are either dumped on the streets, dumped in public shelters which are horrendous places, born on the streets having to fend for themselves and face all kinds of dangers. Starvation being the biggest, beatings, torture, being hit by cars or even killed for money. The streets are a cruel cruel place especially winter time. Some also suffer horrendous cruelty from so called animal loving owners and the lucky ones are taken to private shelters where they are looked after until homes can be found for them. There also racism in the dog kingdom believe it or not, yes you read right racism, many dogs and cats are abandoned simply because of their colour, black ones are deemed to be unlucky !!!.
Floky and his mother were literally thrown out by their owner, who was not a well person and could not cope with a mother and pups, over the garden wall and into a yard belonging to Gypsies.
The Gypsies do not care for their dogs very well either. Some one managed to get Floky, his mother and other siblings out of there, they were shocked when they saw them. very skinny, cold and scared and covered in fleas and scabs.

Floky and his family were treat at the vets, given medication to clear up their scabs and sores and flea treatment. Floky managed to find a home, but some time later was then seen back out on the streets, he was taken back top his owner who said he had escaped, but it happened again some time later, only this time he had been thrown out.
His owner had replaced with with a new dog.
Floky is now living in a bunker at a builders yard with other dogs. " girls was a shelter go there to feed them and care for them the best they can, but the yard is not a safe place for him, too many dangers, he desperately needs a loving home. He gets on well with the other dogs and the people who feed him

It took him a while to start trusting people again, but he is getting there and looks forward to the girls coming to feed him and allows them to pet him and give him fusses.

A patient, experienced owner is needed for Floky, some one he can learn to love and trust and to feel safe with. It will take him a while because of his past experiences and not knowing if he is going to end up homeless again.
