ADOPTED - DOTTY

Dotty was rescued from from Craiova in Romania in May 2013.  Craiova treats stray dogs brutally and hundreds are killed in public shelters after being caught by the dog catchers and starved for weeks.  Dotty was due to go to a foster home but she was so traumatized she was offered a foster place with a dog trainer.  She has recovered from her ordeal and become a sweet older girl but still requires an experienced home with no children.

Dotty would be better suited to an older couple or woman who just wants a short walk round a park or streets as she has a 'skip' with her back leg.  Dotty can't be allowed off the lead as she will just take off, she has run home from a park, crossing the main road.  Dotty doesn't like men due to her experiences in Craiova and is not keen on small children.  She will nip ankles if someone steps over her but she is a nice dog who will get very fond of her carer. She loves the dog trainer she is staying with and can even be pushy around the lady's six collies to get attention. Unfortunately the lady can no longer keep Dotty due to her personal situation and Dotty must go into kennels if another permanent or foster home can't be found.   Dotty will be sad in kennels and really needs to be settled in a suitable home for the rest of her years.
