ADOPTED - ASKAR

Askar is a lovely dog who does not have much time left. He is in the public shelter and the dogs have only 60 days to be adopted before they are killed.  Askar's death date has expired so he is in desperate need of a home to save his life as could be killed at any time.  He is nervous at the moment and frightened of the situation he is in but is very sweet and gentle.  He will be a different dog away from the pound.

Askar may have escaped a miserable existence with starvation, cruelty and danger on the street when taken to the public shelter but life in the pound is horrific by any standard. The food is given very sparingly, fights are frequent and care and love are non-existent apart from when the volunteers visit to feed the dogs.  They get them ready to travel and promote them in the hope they are adopted.

Askar is a very good dog who gets along great with other dogs and people.  If you would like to know more about the breed here is the link:

Some people in the UK already adopted Croatian Shepherds from this shelter and are very happy with them.  They are intelligent and devoted dogs.
