AMY

Friday, 5 April 2013

ADOPTED - Amy 11 week old female mixed breed needing that forever home

Most of the dogs in Romania and surrounding areas are either dumped on the streets, dumped in public shelters which are horrendous places, born on the streets having to fend for themselves and face all kinds of dangers. Starvation being the biggest, beatings, torture, being hit by cars or even killed for money. The streets are a cruel cruel place especially winter time. Some also suffer horrendous cruelty from so called animal loving owners and the lucky ones are taken to private shelters where they are looked after until homes can be found for them, there is also racism amongst dogs over there, yes you read right racism, the colour of the dog or cat can determine whether it lives or dies, black ones especially as they are deemed unlucky !!!

Amy born in the Radauti public shelter, her mother most likely taken in by the dog catchers.

The public shelters are not the best place in the world for puppies to be born, too many dogs sharing one kennel, fighting over food and sleeping space, it is a dangerous place for puppies and smaller dogs and deaths do happen.

Amy, the little one on the left looking like a baby panda, is now in safe foster with several other puppies and doing very well.

She is a happy healthy little girl and growing every day and. she is a smart cheeky little girl that would melt any ones heart.

Amy gets on well with the other pups and just loves to play and get up to mischief, as all 11 week old puppies do. She will make a welcome addition to any family and with being so young will adapt easily and be eager to learn.
She will be ready to travel once she has had all her vaccinations over the next few weeks.

Will be fully vaccinated to legal requirements for travel
