ADOPTED-Blackie approx 6 months old female possible lab cross needing a forever home
Most of the dogs in Romania are either dumped on the streets, dumped in public shelters which are horrendous places, born on the streets having to fend for themselves and face all kinds of dangers. Starvation being the biggest, beatings, torture, being hit by cars or even killed for money. The streets are a cruel cruel place especially winter time. Some also suffer horrendous cruelty from so called animal loving owners and the lucky ones are taken to private shelters where they are looked after until homes can be found for them.
Blackie found starving on the streets when she was about 3 months old, her chances of survival were very slim indeed.
She faced starvation, being beaten, killed in fights for food or even killed for money.
Blackie is now in a shelter being cared for and slowly starting to trust people.
Blackie was skinny and terrified when first brought into the shelter. She is now gaining weight and getting over her fear of humans and becoming a very playful little girl, she is learning to trust again.
She gets on well with the other dogs in the shelter and will play with them. Blackie does have a limp as one of front legs has been broken, but it does not seem to hold her back.
Blackie should adapt easily to family life with a little time and patience. It is known how she reacts to children so a family with children over the age of 7 would be advised.
Blackie will be vaccinated to legal requirements for transports
