ADOPTED :D -ANZA - 4 Years, Female, Large - For Adoption
Update -
Anza is a very submissive girl and will drop to the floor if she feels scared. She is very timid but very sweet, she doesn't have a bad bone in her body. When first meeting new people Anza will crawl across the floor to say hello, she soon settles and after being in foster she has learnt to trust humans. She is still learning about the lead on walks but us getting used to this, she no longer thinks the lead is going to hurt her. Anza loves to lounge around of the sofa and have lots of cuddles and even gives kisses.
Anza is currently in foster with 5 other dogs. she can be a bit scared when first meeting full on dogs, but soon settles. she has shown no pssessive or aggressive behaviours around food or toys.
Anza is very good in the home. She is clean & not destructive when left for a few hours. She spends a lot of time in her bed or on the sofa, happily snoozing & watching the other dogs play. She hasn't quite learned how to join in yet.
Out on walks, she will need some ongoing lead training.
Any potential adopter needs to understand that Anza has been abused in the past & is a nervous & submissive girl. She needs someone patient, who can help her continue to build confidence & who will teach her the world is not such a scary place.
A home where the owner would be around a lot of the time, she has gone for short periods on her own and has been brilliant. If the home has children I would advise older (7+) as she is very nervous and very young children pulling her around and making loud noises would frighten her. She needs an owner with patience and plenty of love. She does get attached quite easily and enjoys a good cuddle. Anza would quite happily live in a home with or without another dog, although she would gain confidence from another dog.

This is the most wonderful Anza a sweet wonderful girl who needs lots of time, patience and so much love .
When she entered the shelter no human could go near her as she would scream when they touched her. Slowly but surely she is starting to realise that not all humans want to hurt her as you can see from this video

It is absolutely heartbreaking, she desperately wants to be loved, wants to be fussed, wants to be held but life has taught her to hit the ground and scream and be ready to be kicked, punched and goodness knows what.
There is not an agressive bone in this poor girls body. Totally submissive, so loving, so sweet, so desperate to be loved and for once in her life be told she is a good girl.
As you can see from the video Anza is very vocal, we believe is a husky cross. Because of this we advise 100% against a home with cats or rabbits.
With other dogs and humans she is a submissive girl, so very sweet, just very scared.
The special foster we are hoping for will have plenty of time to spend with her. Maybe retired or works from home. Must have Husky experience or working breed experience. Resident dogs to be very easy going and will allow Anzaenough time to trust them, that they wont hurt her either.
So longer term foster than we would normally ask for, or by a miracle a forever home.
The household would only have older children ( she has been through enough without young kids running around or pulling her about)
We have a potential sponsor for this wonderful girl, so just the right home to find now and Anza too can leave death row in just over a weeks time.
