CLARA

Monday, 1 April 2013

RESERVED - Clara, 2 years old, small size female, looking for a family

Clara is a 2 years old, small size female dog, rescued from the streets of Romania, after being abandoned.
All the dogs in the area where she was left were beating on her, as she was an intruder in their teritory.

She was one of the lucky ones who got rescued and now she is in foster, waiting for the perfect family. She is a very friendly dog, she gets along very well with children and other dogs.

She will be a great addition to any family. She's neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped and has an EU passport.

FATMA

Thursday, 4 April 2013

RESERVED - FATMA mixed breed female approx 3 year old in desperate need of a loving home

Most of the dogs in Romania are either dumped on the streets, dumped in public shelters which are horrendous places, born on the streets having to fend for themselves and face all kinds of dangers. Starvation being the biggest, beatings, torture, being hit by cars or even killed for money. The streets are a cruel cruel place especially winter time. Some also suffer horrendous cruelty from so called animal loving owners and the lucky ones are taken to private shelters where they are looked after until homes can be found for them, there is also racism amongst dogs over there, yes you read right racism, the colour of the dog or cat can determine whether it lives or dies, black ones especially as they are deemed unlucky !!!

This beautiful little girl was taken to the Radauti public shelterby the dog catchers just under a year ago.

She is a sweet little girl if a little shy on times or until she gets to know you.

Fatma's experience of the shelter has not been a happy one, but then the public shelters are not the best place to be, under funded, under staffed too many dogs and not enough food to go round, fights regularly break out at meal times and the it can be a case of only the strong will survive.

Fatma is now in foster in Romania after being attacked by the other dogs in her kennel. Fatma would protect the smaller and younger dogs but not herself. She ended up with a broken leg after the attack, which has now been seen to by the vet. Fatma also has dermatitis at the moment but is under going treatment for this. She will stay in foster until she is  fully recovered or adopted, which ever comes first. She is an adorable little girl that gets on well with other dogs for all she has suffered in an attack from other dogs, she has been tested with cats and does not seem to be bothered by them at all. She enjoys being around people and children, if a little shy at first until she gets to know you. All Fatma wants is a loving home to call her own.

STELLA

Sunday, 7 April 2013

RESERVED - STELLA approx 2 year old female mixed breed needing a foreverhome.

Most of the dogs in Romania and surrounding areas are either dumped on the streets, dumped in public shelters which are horrendous places, born on the streets having to fend for themselves and face all kinds of dangers.

Stella was taken to the Radauti public shelter by her owner along with a box containing her puppies. Probably the very reason she was taken to the shelter, the owner probably could not afford to keep her and her pups. Sadly her pups have since died. Stella is very unhappy at the shelter as she has been used to a home life.

Stella desperately needs to be out of the shelter, she is pining for an owner that will never come back for her. Stella is used to home comforts and is house trained, she loves her cuddles and is a friendly sweet girl. She gets on well with other dogs, cats and children, the shelter really is no place for this young lady.

Stella needs to be back in a loving home with people around her, people who will love and care for her and not abandon her again. She cries all the time in the shelter hoping that some one will come along and give her that second chance.

FIFI

Thursday, 17 January 2013

Reserved pending successful homecheck Fifi - 4 month old Labrador cross. A real little princess in desperate need of a loving forever home - In foster in the UK

Fifi's Story - Fifi's mum came to our charity when she was heavily pregnant , thankfully this meant her pups would not have to face what thousands in Romania will have to. That is abuse, disease, cruelty, starvation and so much more.
Her mum gave birth to seven little furbabies and little Fifi here was one of them. Only she and her bigger brother Apollo remain un-adopted and are looking for a forever home.

Though she was the smallest of the litter, she is a real character and holds her own with her bigger brothers when they play rough and tumble, and if they do get the better of her regardless that she started it will come running back to her human foster Mummy and Daddy telling on her brothers!!!

Fifi adores human company and likes nothing better than in the evenings snuggling up on your lap or next to you on the sofa.

She gets along very well with other dogs and also is very interested in cats ( though they don't like her very  much as she wants to play with them and not many cats like puppies as friends)

Fifi is:
Microchipped
Vaccinated
Deflead
Dewormed
Has on EU Pet passport

If you could offer this wee puppy a forever home please contact our charity as soon as possible

ZIRA

Fostered in Germany ZIRA 4 month old shepherd cross female pup, needing a forever home

Some also suffer horrendous cruelty from so called animal loving owners and the lucky ones are taken to private shelters where they are looked after until homes can be found for them.

This little lady is being cared for in a private shelter.

Abandoned in a box with her sisters to fend for themselves, and with being so young their chances were very slim indeed, cold, hungry and scared.

Zira is a happy healthy little girl and growing nicely. She is doing what any other 4 month old puppy does, she is very play full loves every one and other dogs.

This little girl needs a proper family where she can grow and learn and with being so young she will be easily trainable.

Zira will be vaccinated to legal requirements for transport.

BENJI

Thursday, 7 March 2013

ADOPTED - NOW IN FOSTER IN THE UK- BENJI( AKALulu) 3.5 month Terrier Mix male - Abandoned in the refuse, now looking for a forever home

This is Benji, a very sweet shy little puppy. He is such a sweet little dog but can be easily led astray by his more mischievous siblings Toto and Mimi. Though now safe and sound and in foster care with his brothers and sisters playing and enjoying life, you would find it hard to believe life began in the most awful of ways, in many respects the most cruelest of ways for this little dog and his family.

Bebji and his siblings were found by a rescuer from our network of volunteers, they had been cruelly abandoned in -37 temperatures next to a dumpster of refuse in an alley way where normally they would have been found either frozen to death or from starvation.

Thankfully someone must have been watching over them all that fateful day as there cries were heard rather than being ignored as they normally are when abandoned like rubbish in Romania.

So many people would have passed them by there, to leave them amongst the refuse they had been discarded alongside of. But the lady who did take notice of their cries was not the average person in Romania.

She was one of our network of rescuers who ( though maybe a little unorthodox but served its purpose) put them all in her shopping bag and carried them to safety, to her home nearby.

Here they all received food and water, warmed up and then afterwards taken to the veterinarian for an examination and to begin their vaccines etc.

As you can see from the photos, day by day with lots of love and care these tiny pups started to flourish and one by one began to become more confident causing mischief and enjoying life knowing now they at last were safe.

Each of them are now ready to start looking for their forever homes. They all deserve a much better life than what the vile human who abandoned them in that alley had planned for them.

Benji though such a sweet and gentle dog does have his moments if given the chance, and gets into trouble just as his other siblings do if he is given the chance. He is perfectly fine with other dogs and also cats. Adores human company and is a very sweet little dog.

He is Fully Vaccinated ( though going through his 21 day quarantine period at the moment as required by law)
Microchipped
Dewormed
Deflead
Spayed (depending on how old he is when adopted)
Has a full EU Pet Passport

If you could offer this wonderful little pup a loving and caring forever home, please contact our charity as soon as possible
