ANGENLINA

ADOPTED- Angelina 4 month old female lab mix needing a forever home

Most of the dogs in Romania are either dumped on the streets, dumped in public shelters which are horrendous places, born on the streets having to fend for themselves and face all kinds of dangers. Starvation being the biggest, beatings, torture, being hit by cars or even killed for money. The streets are a cruel cruel place especially winter time. Some also suffer horrendous cruelty from so called animal loving owners and the lucky ones are taken to private shelters where they are looked after until homes can be found for them. There also racism in the dog kingdom believe it or not, yes you read right racism, many dogs and cats are abandoned simply because of their colour, black ones are deemed to be unlucky !!!.

Angelina dumped on the streets in a box with her siblings, left to face the above mentioned dangers will little  or no chance of survival.

Angelina is now safe in a private shelter being cared for and doing very well.

She is a very active little girl and a very intelligent little girl with a sweet loving nature.

Angelina enjoys being on a leash and going for walks, she is a very sociable little girl, loves her fusses and cuddles.

She gets on well with everyone and including other dogs, she will be a welcome addition to any family and will be eager to learn and adapt to a family life.

ADOPTED_GRETEL 4 month old female airedale terrier cross needing a forever home

Most of the dogs in Romania and surrounding areas are either dumped on the streets, dumped in public shelters which are horrendous places, born on the streets having to fend for themselves and face all kinds of dangers. This lovely little girl was literally dumped on the side of a very busy highway. It was very lucky for her that she was found as she was not only in danger of starving to death or being killed by other street dogs, there was an even bigger risk of her being ran over and seriously injured or killed.

She is now in foster in Osijek at the moment, being cared for.

In foster she is living with other dogs and cats, so a home with another dog or a cat would be good.

She adores fusses and cuddles, loves human company and is a typical pup, just loves to play and get into mischief as pups do.

She will be a welcome addition to any family though children over 7 would be advised as puppies can be boistrous

ADOPTED - Snickers - 6 month old friendly and playful lab cross puppy searching for his foreverhome

Most of the dogs in Romania are either abandoned on the streets where they are targeted to abuse, torture and barbarically killed. If they survive the streets they then face another very real danger, to be captured and forced to endure the horrors that are public dog shelters where for the majority they face starvation, physical and mental abuse by the public shelter workers and dog catchers.

Snickers and his siblings had to face all this when as tiny pups they were abandoned in a box in sub zero temperatures. This really was not a case of being abandoned in an area where they would be found and given homes as they were tiny and would never survive on their own, also the person knew they would never be given homes by passers by as the tiny pups all were born with black fur.

In countries with stone age mentality such as Romania superstition runs riot, and animals with black fur are deemed unlucky and evil, suffering sometimes the worst of the abuse simply because they were born with black fur.

Thankfully they were found by one of the rescuers in our network in Romania and they were taken into foster where they were given all the love and care that puppies need.

After they all were microchipped and fully vaccinated ( including anti rabies) our charity transported them to the UK. Only Snickers is left now looking for that special home to call his own.

This handsome young dog loves anything that has a heartbeat and just wants to be loved and to play.

He is so incredibly friendly and adores humans and other dogs. Also he gets along with cats, though we suspect because of his puppy like traits cats are not too keen on this bouncy black puppy bounding around them wagging his tail wanting to play with them.

RESERVED - MIA:IB MIA 8 to 9 month old female possible terrier cross needing a forever home

Most of the dogs in Romania and surrounding areas are either dumped on the streets, dumped in public shelters which are horrendous places, born on the streets having to fend for themselves and face all kinds of dangers.

Mia was taken to the Radauti shelter by the dog catchers, she has been there about a month. The shelter is no place for any dog, cold, draughty, under funded and staff who have very little time on their hands to give these animals what they need.
Mia was full of worms and fleas when she arrived at the shelter, but after treatment she is now clear of both.
Mia may have had a home before or shay may have simply been a stray fending for hersel on the streets.

She is a calm a calm gentle girl who gets on well with every one, people children, other dogs and cats. Mia is a well behaved young lady so there for needs out of the shelter as soon as possible, before shelter life destroys her spirit.

MARCY

Monday, 1 April 2013

ADOPTED Marcy, 7 months old labrador retriver cross, needing a forever home

Marcy was rescued as a small puppy from the streets of Romania. She was abandoned, just like many other dogs are.

She was small and terrified, hungry and crying. She still haven't gained full confidence in people, because her foster didn't had the time to socialise her much, having many dogs in her care.

She is ok with the people she knows, but very shy to strangers. So, her new family will need to have patience and help her gain trust in herself.

She is now around 7 months old, she is medium size and she is getting along very well with other dogs, as she always had many dogs around. She is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped and had an EU passport.

Toto/Titan=PD

Toto 3.5 month Terrier Mix Male - Abandoned in the refuse, now looking for a forever home

This is Toto, a very sweet if not mischievous little puppy. he and his sister Mimi are more of the adventurous amongst the litter that were rescued. Together they explore the now safe world around them and generally lead the other 5 astray...However this little guys life began in the most awful of ways, in many respects the most cruelest of ways.

Toto and his siblings were found by a rescuer from our network of volunteers, they had been cruelly abandoned in -37 temperatures next to a dumpster of refuse in an alley way where normally they would have been found either frozen to death or from starvation.

Thankfully someone must have been watching over them all that fateful day as there cries were heard rather than being ignored as they normally are when abandoned like rubbish in Romania.

So many people would have passed them by there, to leave them amongst the refuse they had been discarded alongside of. But the lady who did take notice of their cries was not the average person in Romania.

She was one of our network of rescuers who ( though maybe a little unorthodox but served its purpose) put them all in her shopping bag and carried them to safety, to her home nearby.

Here they all received food and water, warmed up and then afterwards taken to the veterinarian for an examination and to begin their vaccines etc.

As you can see from the photos, day by day with lots of love and care these tiny pups started to flourish and one by one began to become more confident causing mischief and enjoying life knowing now they at last were safe.

Each of them are now ready to start looking for their forever homes. They all deserve a much better life than what the vile human who abandoned them in that alley had planned for them.

Toto though at times can be full of mischief he also a very loving and sweet dog. He is perfectly fine with other dogs and also cats. Adores human company and is a very clever little lad.

He is Fully Vaccinated ( though going through hisr 21 day quarantine period at the moment as required by law)
Microchipped
Dewormed
Deflead
Spayed (depending on how old she is when adopted)
Has a full EU Pet Passport

If you could offer this wonderful little pup a loving and caring forever home, please contact our charity as soon as possible
