billy

What a lovely boy he is - and so sad that he has ended up in a kill shelter. Who knows how he ended up in this situation, picked up by dog catchers and brought here. Was he a beloved pet of someone who has died? or was he thrown out like a piece of rubbish when he stopped being a cute puppy? maybe his owners could no longer afford to feed him. We will never know.

What we do know is that Billy only has limited time to find a forever home. The shelter has 60 days to move dogs on, or they risk being ordered by City Hall to destroy the dogs.

Billy is a big lad, around 25kg or so, and so will be best in a family with older children, as he could knock a small child over without meaning to. He gets on well with people and walks nicely on the lead. He is still undergoing assessment, and more information will be available soon.

If you would like to express an interest in Billy, or want more information, then contact us Mon - Fri 10am - 4pm: 0208 1234 976 / Out of hours text/call:  07435573283
Or e-mail adoptions@actionaidforanimals.com mentioning Billy in the subject.

Billy will be
Microchipped
Deflead and dewormed
Vaccinated (including anti rabies)
Neutered
Vet Checked and be DEFRA compliant
Have their own pet passport.

Comes with 4 weeks free pet insurance (adopter has to ring and trigger this with Pet Plan when they get her home)

Free microchip registration upon completion of adoption.

Here is pretty little Sophia, a girl who will be medium sized when fully grown. She was found trying to get a drink by licking moisture off a gate post as the snow was melting.

She was called and ran over to the rescuer with her tail wagging, and they noticed that she had rope bound tightly around her neck. Her rescuer managed to cut the rope away, but it had caused a really nasty wound and she was rushed to the vet for attention. Who knows how long this poor girl was tied up in the freezing weather in Romania before she managed to break free.

She is now being cared for, but still needs a forever home where she doesn't have to worry about being tied up outside in all weathers

Sophia is quite thin and has obviously been underfed in her previous home. For this reason she can be a little food defensive with other dogs. This is something that she could easily learn not to do, it is simply a reaction to her previous life and lack of food.

Sophia is fine with people and older children (over 7), and would make a good family pet. Do you have a warn place by the fire where she could rest and start to feel safe?

If you would be interested in offering Sophia a home, or would like more information then contact us Mon - Fri 10am - 4pm: 0208 1234 976 / Out of hours text/call: 07435573283
