ADOPTED = DP Negra 5 yr old female lab/retriever medium to large size needing a forever home.

Negra has spent most of her life living near an apartment building, the residents no longer wanted her there and started to miss-treat her. The dog catchers were called and she ended up in a hell hole  called a public shelter. Life on the streets is luxury compared to these shelters, they are not cared for properly, rarely fed and have access to water, and when there is food and water they have to fight for it, many die in the process.

Negra is now in a private rescue being cared for. Negra is a gentle, calm girl, very obeidient and loves the company of humans. Negra gets on very well with other dogs and children. She settles well in a car and home environment.
Negra is fully vaccinated, spayed, chipped and dewormed ready for that forever home.

IVY

ADOPTED Ivy 3 yr old feamle romanian timber type needing a forever home

Ivy was abandoned on the streets of Romania by her owners, left to fend for herself, which is often the way over there, owners get fed up of their animals or decide to get a new one or even move house, then the existing animal is turfed out basically.

Ivy is a lovely girl and does not deserve to be in the shelter, she deserves to be back in a loving home. The shelters are not the best places but they do their best with the limited resources, staff and time that they do have.

Ivy is smart and friendly and enjoys human company, she will be fully vaccinated, spayed, chipped and pass ported, ready to leave the shelter.

, FOXY

ADOPTED - Foxy, 2 year old mixed terrier rescued from a vile prison now looking for her forever home.

Foxy is such an affectionate and loving dog. It is hard to believe that she was abandoned and left to rot in one of the worst public shelters in Romania. A shelter where dogs are thrown into mixed sexed/size cages. Where dogs have been known to come out of that place with fresh cigarette burns on their faces.

What is even more amazing is how little Foxy retained her sweetness and gentleness. If this were human we doubt very much they would have come out of that place still as trusting and loving towards the same species that put them in that hell of a dog prison. But, this is the case for this little dog.

Foxy has been rescued from that shelter and she is safe and secure with our charity. What she needs now is her very own forever home.

Appearance:
Small toy size
Long brown and white fur

Character traits:
Non aggressive
Loving
Gentle
Very sociable with friendly dogs but in the home can bark at other dogs more from fear than anything else.
Very sociable with humans both large and small but prefers females but reacts fine with males
Loves to be cuddled and snuggles into your neck
Likes her treats/chewy bones and snuggle blanket very much

Foxys ideal forever home:
  • Somewhere she will be loved and cared for, looked after for the rest of her life.
  • A family/couple/lone woman
  • Somewhere she will have lots of social interaction with the family
  • Regular short walks/play throughout the day
  • NOT left for longer than 4 hours a day

Foxy is:
Microchipped
Fully Vaccinated
Spayed
Dewormed
Deflead
Has full EU pet passport

If you can offer little Foxy that forever home she needs, please contact our charity today.

ADOPTED - Fluffy 1 and half yr old female terrier type cross needing a forever home

Fluffy is in the Radauti shelter, they think she may have had a home before and been abandoned or has gotten herself lost, as she is a well behaved and educated dog.

The shelter is definately not a place for a dog like Fluffy is she has had a home before, is a hostile environment where dogs still fight over food, because the volunteers can only do four hours a day to clean the kennels, try and socialize these dogs, feed them and give them the care and attention they need.

Fluffy loves to be around people and children and also gets on well with cats as well as other dogs.

She is a friendly playful girl and deserves better than shelter life.

ADOPTED Nero, 10 month old male, large, working dog cross. needing forever home.

Nero really is a gentle giant..a big dog with a big heart !! He is another example of the problems that can arise with adoption fairs. People often get dogs on a whim. They have no real knowledge of the costs or practicalities of keeping a dog and they become like commodities..to be used and then thrown away. He was adopted as a puppy and then at 9 months old the family contacted a shelter and rescue group to come and get him. The reason..he was too big and the children had got bored of him !!!
Nero just loves people. It doesn't matter whether young or old..if you are a human Nero wants to be fussed by you, petted by you..to be close to you. He is very sad at the centre because the humans who work there haven't got the time to spend with him that he so desperately needs and wants. Nero needs a forever home where he can get all that love and be part of a family again.
Nero is de-wormed, fully vaccinated, neutered and micro chipped

He was there along with nine other pups, there were two bitches with a litter each. if the dog catcher had been successful, Hope's tale would have been a very different one indeed, his chances of survival would have been virtually nil. He wold have ended up in a hell hole of a public shelter having to fight for food or being killed by the dog catchers for money.

Hope is now safe in foster and doing very well and is a lively healthy little boy, he just needs that forever loving home.

Hope is fully vaccinated, dewormed, chipped.

ADOPTED Fili 8 yr old male collie/terrier cross medium size needing a forever home

ADOPTED Fili 8 yr old male collie/terrier cross medium size needing a forever home

File has been through a terrible ordeal, he had been in a car accindent when found. He was founf in the small town of Filiasi hence his name.
It was thought he was going to be perminantly paralized but after being x-rayed things started to look promising for Fili.

Things were not looking good for poor Fili at all, he suffered from hair loss, muscle weakness and dermatomicosis, he is a fighter and with plenty of patience and care he has started to over come his ordeal.
Fili is slowly gaining strength and fighting against all the odds and getting closer to regaining the use of back legs. Fili still has a long way to go with his stamina and co ordination, but in the right family this can be achieved. Fili would be better suited to someone plenty time on their hands and experience with disabled dogs. He deserves a forever home after all that he has been through. Fili is fully vaccinated, neutured and de-wormed and will be micro chipped ready for his new family. Please give this courageous little fellow a loving home.

Teddy

ADOPTED - Teddy, 2 year old faithful and loving Male Shepherd Mix.

Teddy was until recently being looked after by residents in a neighbourhood in Romania. He was, if you like a communal dog.  On the streets he was at risk daily from dog catchers who would have taken him to a shelter. The type of shelters dogs go to in this way are horrendous places where dogs are not cared for or loved..and often not even fed. For the most part these dogs are just left to die

Teddy since being in foster has been found to be quite the ladies doggy ( he is very loyal and follows the human ladies around) he really adores attention but can be left to his own devices without worrying what he is up to. He does prefer the females in the house but has also been perfectly fine with the husband and son of the household.

He is very tolerant of other dogs ( and cats)  both old and young around him, male or female. He truly is a gentle soul who just wants that special lady (and her family) to take him into their home and give home as much love, affection and loyalty as he will give them in return.

When you get to know Teddy, you learn very quickly that there is something so very special about him, but you cant quite explain what it is...

He is about 40 cm tall and he is very athletic so will need regular exercise. He is very very friendly to people, including children and gets on with cats and other dogs. He shows no aggression and when set upon by some stray dogs in the area preferred to run away than to fight.

Teddy truly is one of life's gentle souls, and he deserves a chance of an amazing life which we hope someone out there can give to him.

Teddy is Fully vaccinated, de-wormed and micro chipped and neutered.

This is Gena a gentle girl who is nearly 100% blind, which is probably the reason her owners turffed her out and she ended on the streets with little or no chance of survival, The dog catchers took her to the shelter, a hell hole of a place as time and resources are limited, but the staff do the best they can, they are desperate to find this lovely girl a home.

Gina constantly looks for her owner but they never show up, she has suffered a broken leg which has now healed and she is walking fine.

Gina needs to be in a loving home, she gets on very well with humans and other dogs all she wants is love and affection and will give plenty in return.

, Jessie

ADOPTED - Jessie - 2 year old small Terrier mix, rescued from the worst kind of death, now looking for a forever home

This is Jessie. A beautiful Terrier mix who is in desperate need of a quiet and loving home. Public shelters in Romania are no place for man nor beast. Vile disgusting places, holding areas for the dog catchers to brutally butcher the dogs they imprison and get money for the weight of the bodies.

For any dog this is no place to end up, but for a shy and quiet little thing like Jess it is even more horrific. Female dogs just thrown into pens with larger and aggressive males, with no chance of escape from being attacked or worse. This is what little Jess faced on a daily basis, for every hour of every day until she was rescued.

Jess is such a friendly little thing, she loves to sit on your lap and be fussed. She is good with humans, dogs and children, even cats. But, and this is very important, as long as the dog/cats/children are not too in her face and are gentle with her.

If you want a quiet companion dog then Jess is the one for you, she just wants to be loved and cared for. She missed this desperately in her life. When Jess first came into our care she was a bag of bones and looked anything but healthy.

Now as you can see she is perfectly healthy and is enjoying her time in our sanctuary, but she needs her own loving home soon, where there are less dogs around and she can be the sole attention.
If you can offer such a home to Jess, please do get in contact as soon as possible.

This little girl needs her forever home, and we are determined to find this for her.
